Running a business isn’t just about strategies, funnels, and fancy graphics.
It’s emotional. It’s personal. Some days you’re full of ideas and energy. Other days, you’re wondering what the hell you’re even doing.
Nobody talks enough about the emotional side of running a wellbeing business.
And honestly?
It’s the part that trips most people up.
You can have the best marketing strategy in the world, but if you’re frozen in fear, drowning in self-doubt, or so overwhelmed you can’t even answer an email, none of it matters.
That’s why Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) isn’t just ‘nice to have’.
It’s a non-negotiable skill if you actually want to survive this journey without burning out or giving up.

What EFT Actually Does for You
EFT – or tapping – helps you regulate your emotions, shift your mindset, and process the heavy stuff that builds up when you’re building a business.
Here’s how it changes the game:
1. It gets you off the emotional rollercoaster
You know those days when one passive-aggressive email can ruin your whole week?
Or when you launch something, get two likes, and suddenly feel like you should close your business forever?
That’s normal. But you don’t have to live there.
Tapping helps your nervous system calm the hell down, fast.
Instead of reacting out of panic, you can pause, tap, breathe, and respond from a more grounded place.
It’s not about becoming emotionless. It’s about not letting temporary feelings run your whole life.
2. It kills imposter syndrome at the root
Feeling like you’re not good enough, smart enough, experienced enough?
Welcome to entrepreneurship.
Most of us drag around a ton of old beliefs we don’t even realise are there:
“I’m not clever enough.”
“Nobody will take me seriously.”
“I don’t deserve to succeed.”
EFT helps you dig that crap out and replace it with something better. Not fake positivity — real, grounded belief in your own capabilities.
It doesn’t mean you’ll never doubt yourself again. It means you’ll know how to handle it when you do.
3. It helps you show up better for your clients
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
You can’t fake groundedness.
If you’re stressed, anxious, or resentful, your clients feel it — even if you think you’re hiding it.
Tapping clears out the emotional noise.
It makes you a cleaner, stronger container for the people you’re supporting.
And that’s not just good for them — it’s essential for you.
A Simple EFT Exercise You Can Use Right Now
Got something weighing on you today?
Maybe it’s “I’m overwhelmed with everything I have to do.”
Or “I’m scared nobody will sign up to my programme.”
Pick one thing.
We’re going to tap on it.
- Start by tapping the side of your hand (the karate chop point) and say:
“Even though I feel [insert feeling], I deeply and completely accept myself.”Example:“Even though I feel overwhelmed, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
- Move through the tapping points:
- Eyebrow: “This feeling of overwhelm.”
- Side of eye: “It’s all too much.”
- Under eye: “I can’t do it all.”
- Under nose: “It’s exhausting.”
- Chin: “I feel like I’m drowning.”
- Collarbone: “It’s all on my shoulders.”
- Under arm: “I don’t know where to start.”
- Top of head: “This overwhelm.”
- Keep going, letting the words shift naturally.
Notice if any new thoughts or emotions pop up — tap on those too. - After a few rounds, re-check how intense the feeling is.
If it’s still high, do another few rounds.
If it’s dropped, finish by tapping positive statements:
“I’m allowed to take one step at a time.”
“I choose to trust myself.”
“I am doing enough.”
Final Thoughts
You don’t have to be a tapping expert to use EFT in your business.
You just have to actually use it.
Tapping isn’t about pretending you’re fine.
It’s about giving yourself tools to stay steady when the emotional storms hit — because they will hit.
This work — the messy emotional work — is what builds real, sustainable businesses.
If you master your emotions, you can handle anything entrepreneurship throws at you.
And that’s the real power behind EFT.
